Derbyshire Police Federation

“Please make your voice heard”

27 October 2020

Derbyshire Police Federation chair Tony Wetton is reminding members to have their say on current issues affecting the Force, including policing the pandemic, by taking part in this year’s Demand, Capacity and Welfare Survey.

“The survey, which is being carried out across all Federation branches, will help us build a picture of just how it has impacted our members,” he said.

“It builds on previous Demand, Capacity and Welfare Surveys and will help us identify trends to address with police leaders.”

Tony added: “Please make your voice heard.”

The 2020 survey, the third of its kind, is designed to provide a fuller picture of the main challenges currently facing policing and includes specific questions around officers’ experiences of working during the Covid-19 pandemic, and the planned recruitment of 20,000 officers by 2023.

The results will allow the Police Federation of England and Wales to compare the data gathered in 2016 and 2018. The final date for responses is 16 November.

Members who have not received a link to the 2020 survey should contact the Federation office by emailing derbyshire@polfed.org
