The autumn edition of ‘News & views’ is available now and features HRH The Prince of Wales’ tribute to fallen officers at this year’s virtual National Police Memorial Day service.
In his message, Prince Charles said the UK’s police officers had faced the invisible threat of coronavirus with visible courage and commitment. The service, which came just two days after Metropolitan Police Sergeant Matt Ratana was killed, also included messages from Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Home Secretary Priti Patel.
The Derbyshire Police Federation online magazine also features PC Geoff Marshall’s nomination for the Police Bravery Awards after he helped prevent the collapse of Toddbrook Reservoir dam, Rachel Swann’s appointment as Chief Constable and Peter Goodman's thoughts on his retirement.
Other items include national chair John Apter’s exclusive interview with Priti Patel and a candid admission of bleep test fear.
