Derbyshire Police Federation members are being offered the chance to make a will free of charge during the coronavirus pandemic.
Accord Legal Services wants to show its thanks by providing the offer of free wills to all key workers and front-line staff across England, Wales and Scotland.
“This pandemic has proved that none of us know what is around the corner. Making a will may not be at the top of everybody’s list of priorities right now, but it is nonetheless vitally important. We want to make it easier than ever before for our key workers to cross this task off their to-do list,” says Ann Martin from Accord, “I think I can speak for everybody in this country when I say we are immensely grateful for the vital work that all key workers are doing,”
Accord will put any interested parties in touch with a local estate planning consultant who then take will instructions from them.
Appointments, which usually last around 30 minutes, are conducted by phone, Skype, Zoom or any other online platform that is suitable. The will is then drafted and sent out by post.
Consultants can also provide advice on a number of other estate planning services, including tax, Lasting Powers of Attorney, trust services and probate should anyone require further specialist advice.
