A free webinar on the transition into retirement from policing is being held by the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) later this month for branch members to attend.
‘Next Chapter’ will take place on Tuesday 25 February from 11am to 12:30pm, in collaboration with the Police Leavers Partnership, and is set to be another instalment of PFEW’s Insight Webinar range.
It will focus on ways recently retired officers can successfully adjust to a new stage of life following a career of service, sacrifice and hard work in the force.
Attendees can expect insights on retirement-related opportunities and challenges such as managing career change, building a strong professional identity, and maintaining wellbeing post-service. Speakers on the day will be PFEW Wellbeing Lead Hayley Aley and Custody Lead Paul Williams, chartered psychologist Dr Ceri Jones, and retired chief superintendent Stuart Noble.
Information on an online hub with the purpose of supporting officers moving into civilian careers, the Police Leavers Employment Gateway, will also be presented by the panel.
Federation members can register for the webinar here, which will be recorded and available to view back after its conclusion for all those who sign up.
