Derbyshire Police Federation members are being reminded to complete the National Police Uniform and Equipment Survey.
The Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) is running the survey in collaboration with researchers at Lancaster University.
Derbyshire branch secretary Kirsty Bunn said: “This is the first time we’ve had a national survey looking into the issues around uniform and we’d encourage as many members as possible to complete it.
“The more members that do, the more complete the picture will be for future decision making about uniform, design and usability.”
The survey has had input from the National Police Chiefs’ Council, the Police Superintendents’ Association, UNISON and the Home Office.
Data from the survey will provide decision makers with the evidence needed to make meaningful changes to police uniform.
The survey closes on Monday 12 August.
The link to the survey has been sent to members' inboxes.
