Federation remembers PC John Fitton

Today marks the anniversary of the loss of Derbyshire PC John Fitton.

John, 53, died on 20 May 1997 when he was hit by a vehicle while cycling home from work.

Tony Wetton, chair of Derbyshire Police Federation, said: “Our thoughts today are with John’s family, friends and former colleagues as they continue to feel his loss.

“We also remember his dedicated service to the Force and to the communities of Derbyshire.”
