A number of staff from the Police Treatment Centres (PTC) are taking part in the 2.4 mile race around the streets of Knaresborough which ends with a dash through the River Nidd.

The Police Treatment Centres is a registered charity supported by voluntary donations from members of the police family from England and Scotland.

Subscribing members can receive treatment at the centres following an illness or injury and they also offer an online physiotherapy service.

While most visitors to the centres receive intensive physiotherapy, others seek support with stress-related conditions or anxiety and depression as part of the PTC’s psychological wellbeing programme.
