PC John Fitton remembered

Derbyshire Police Federation was today remembering PC John Fitton on the 26th anniversary of his death.

John died at the age of 53 when he was hit by a vehicle while cycling home from work on 20 May 1997.

Branch chair Tony Wetton said: “Our thoughts are with John’s family, friends and former colleagues on the anniversary of his death.

“The police family is close knit and we will never forget our fallen colleagues.”
