Remembering PC John Fitton

Derbyshire Police Federation chair Tony Wetton has remembered PC John Fitton on the 25th anniversary of his death.

John died, aged 53, on 20 May 1997, when he was hit by a vehicle while cycling home from work.

Tony said: “All our thoughts are with John’s family and friends on the anniversary of his death.

“We will continue to remember him, his life and his service, as we do all our fallen colleagues. They can never be forgotten.”
