Derbyshire Police Federation chair Tony Wetton has paid tribute to PC Bruce Stevenson on the anniversary of his death.
Bruce collapsed and died while on duty at Cotton Lane Police Station on 7 January 2013. He was 47.
Tony said: “Bruce was committed to policing and was respected by all who knew him and worked with him. He made a big contribution to policing and to Derbyshire Police. He continues to be missed by his loved ones and those who worked with him.
“The thoughts of everyone at the Federation are with Bruce’s family, friends and colleagues.”
• The Force, Derbyshire Police Federation and UNISON, through a project led by DI Steve Roberts, are ensuring all police buildings have a defibrillator, with evidence suggesting those suffering a cardiac incident are more likely to survive if there is access to this life-saving equipment. In addition to ensuring all buildings have a defibrillator, the project will lead to a number of vehicles being equipped with the devices.
