Members are being invited to attend one of two briefing sessions organised by Derbyshire Police Federation in partnership with Reflect Financial Limited.
The sessions, to be held on Tuesday 12 April at the Federation office at Coney Green Business Park, will be led by Philip Pearson and Tim Jackson, who both have extensive experience of the police pension schemes.
The purpose of the briefings is to provide members with a better understanding of how they will be impacted by the Government’s remedy to the discrimination found in the implementation of the 2015 Police Pension Scheme.
They will cover:
On 12 April, the morning session will start at 11am and the afternoon session at 2pm. Each session will last around two hours.
Philip Pearson is a senior financial planning consultant with Reflect Financial Limited. He has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services profession and is a specialist in the police sector. He has been supporting members of the Police Federation through the provision of financial advice and pre-retirement seminars for more than 20 years.
Tim Jackson is a former chief superintendent with Cheshire Constabulary. As national secretary of the Police Superintendents’ Association, he was involved in dealing with the consequences of the reforms to police pension schemes. Having retired from policing in 2017, he now supports Philip in his work.
