A free downloadable factsheet has been created for members to help promote the safe use of technology by children and young people.

To coincide with Safer Internet Day, which falls today (Tuesday 8 February), Police Mutual has produced the leaflet, with a focus on children using the internet.

The guide is full of helpful tips on how members can make the internet a safer place for their children, including the likes of setting up parental control and encouraging open conversation.

The factsheet also highlights some of the guidance parents should be giving children who use the internet, as well as how to deal with cyber-bullying and what warning signs to look for.

Police Mutual is an organisation dedicated to supporting the police family with their finances and wellbeing.
