Derbyshire Police officers are being encouraged to put colleagues forward for the Outstanding Contribution to Women in Policing Award.
Launched by the Police Federation of England and Wales in 2015, the annual award recognises a current or recently retired officer who has gone above and beyond their job while on duty and made a difference that’s led to a profound positive impact on others.
The deadline for nominations for this year’s award is Monday 18 April and Derbyshire branch chair Tony Wetton is encouraging members to nominate their colleagues.
He said: “The Outstanding Contribution to Women in Policing Award is a great opportunity to recognise the colleagues who’ve made an impact on or a significant contribution to women in the police service.
“We all know someone who always gives of themselves, well now is the time to recognise their selflessness.”
Nominees:
Nominators can be police officers or members of support staff.
Submit your nomination. Nominations will then be shared with Federation Branch Boards for final approval.
The winner will be presented with the award at the Federation’s annual national conference on 17 and 18 May.
The award was presented to Chief Inspector Sharon Baker of Avon and Somerset Police last year.
