Two Derbyshire Police Federation representatives are among delegates from across the country gathering in Leicestershire today for the annual roads policing conference.
Inspector Dave Neate and PC Adrian Hardwick will hear inputs from speakers with a breadth of knowledge and experience in roads policing during the two-day conference at Hinckley’s Jurys Inn.
Those addressing conference include the Federation’s roads policing lead, Dave Blundell, the National Police Chiefs’ Council lead for roads policing, Chief Constable Anthony Bangham, transport minister Jesse Norman and shadow policing minister Louise Haigh.
The conference began yesterday with the agenda featuring a memorial to fallen roads policing officers, an update on legislation change from the Federation’s response driving lead, Tim Rogers, and a session on Post-Incident Procedures following a police pursuit. There was also a gala awards dinner.
Today’s conference sessions cover trauma exposure, fatigue and forensic collision investigation.
