Federation rep elections: nominations close on Monday

12 June 2019

There are just a few days left for Federation members to put themselves forward for the latest workplace representatives elections.

So, if you want to stand as a candidate, please complete the self-nomination form as nominations must be received by  noon on Monday (17 June 2019).

There are currently three vacancies on the Derbyshire Police Federation Branch Council and four officers have already nominated themselves which means there will be an election. Voting will open on Monday 24 June.

“It can be challenging to be a Federation representative since you are offering support to officers who may be facing all sorts of difficulties in the workplace including conduct and performance issues or concerns around equality matters but there is little more rewarding than being to help out your colleagues in this way,” says Kirsty Bunn, secretary of Derbyshire Police Federation.

“I would urge anyone interested in the role to find out more either by visiting the elections pages on our website or by contacting me in the Federation office.”

Any subscribing member – who has been a member of the Federation for more than two months and is not suspended - can stand as a candidate.

The nomination process is being administered by Mi-Voice, the Federation’s independent election provider. If you need help using the nominations site, please contact Mi-Voice.

The new reps automatically become part of the Branch Council, which is made up of all elected workplace representatives.
