Federation members across the Force area are being urged to consider becoming workplace representatives.
There are currently three vacancies on the Derbyshire Police Federation Branch Council.
“Being a workplace Federation representative can be an incredibly rewarding role,” says branch secretary Kirsty Bunn, “It doesn’t come without its challenges but, I believe, they are far outweighed by knowing that you are doing your bit to support colleagues.”
Officers interested in finding out more about the role of a workplace rep can contact the Federation office, speak to current reps or find out more at Reps@work.
Any subscribing member – who has been a member of the Federation for more than two months and is not suspended - can stand as a candidate.
To put themselves forward, they can complete the self-nomination form. Nominations must be received by noon on Monday 17 June 2019.
The nomination process is being administered by Mi-Voice, the Federation’s independent election provider. If you need help using the nominations site, please contact Mi-Voice.
If more than three members nominate themselves for the role, an election will be held with voting opening on Monday 24 June.
The new reps automatically become part of the Branch Council, which is made up of all elected workplace representatives.
