Kate Winter - Psychodynamic Psychotherapist

Kate Winter

About:

I am a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and former Police Officer. Having served in Warwickshire Police for 10 years, I understand the unique challenges that police officers and staff routinely face – both on and off duty.

I offer therapy from locations in Lewes, Brighton and Hove. I also offer sessions online via Zoom. I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and abide by their Code of Ethics. I am insured by Towergate Insurance.

Life is complex and multi-faceted. I therefore work with adults experiencing a broad range of difficulties. However, my particular areas of research, specialism and experience are as follows:

  • Abuse
  • Anxiety
  • Attachment issues
  • Burnout
  • Depression
  • Eating disorders
  • Family issues
  • LGBTQIA therapy
  • Neurodiversity
  • Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Relationship problems
  • Sexual violence, assault and harassment

Fees:

I see clients on both a short and long-term basis. My reduced fee for Police Federation members is £55 per session.
