New Chairman of Sussex Police Federation elected

Congratulations to Daren Egan who has been elected to be the new Chairman of Sussex Police Federation.

Thank you to the more than 1,000 eligible Sussex Police officers who took part in the vote - and commiserations to Mark Cullern.

Daren will officially take up his position on Tuesday 1st September 2020, following Matt Webb’s retirement on Monday 31st August 2020.

Simon Steele, Secretary of Sussex Police Federation, said: "Daren becomes the first Chair of the Sussex Police Federation to be elected by our local membership and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took the time to consider the candidates election statements and register their vote.

"We will now ensure that Daren and Matt work closely together over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.
