Sussex Police Federation

Members encouraged to vote for new Sussex Police Federation Chair

27 April 2020

The nominations for the Sussex Police Federation Branch Chair Elect position have now closed - and we have two candidates who have put themselves forward for election to become our Chair Elect.

In alphabetical order the Nominees are; Mark Cullern and Daren Egan.

Voting for this position opens today (Tuesday 28 April) and all subscribing members of Sussex Police Federation will receive an email (to both their pnn and home email addresses) inviting them to vote via the online portal.

The portal will include statements from the two candidates and Sussex Police Federation would urge colleagues to read them carefully before voting.

Voting will remain open for three weeks until 4pm on Tuesday 19 May 2020.

Anyone not receiving a voting code by Thursday 30th April 2020, is asked to email their full name, force and warrant number to support@mi-voice.com.

Simon Steele, Secretary of Sussex Police Federation said: “This is an historic moment for Sussex Police Federation and a real opportunity for our members to select who they want to be our local chair and represent them on both a Local and a National level for the very first time.

"I would ask as many members as possible to take the time to read about the two candidates and cast their vote via the online portal which will be made available to them via email from tomorrow.

"I am sure that you will all join me in wishing our candidates the very best of luck in the upcoming election and I look forward to working with the successful candidate in the coming months.”
