21st anniversary of officer’s death

Today marks the 21st anniversary of the death of North Yorkshire Police officer PC Glenn Robinson.

Glenn, who was 46, died in a motorcycle accident while travelling home from duty on 27 July 2005.

North Yorkshire Police Federation chair Rob Bowles said: “Today we will pause to remember Glenn and his service to North Yorkshire Police.

“We will also hold in our thoughts his family, friends, and colleagues.

“All too often officers leave home to report for duty and don’t make it home at the end of their shift.

“We will never forget them.”
