North Yorkshire Police Federation is supporting a unique charity challenge to raise money for new equipment to rehabilitate injured officers.
Staff at the Police Treatment Centres (PTC) in Harrogate are preparing to take on the Knaresborough Bed Race this weekend as the Dazzling Bobbies.
The Knaresborough Bed Race is a thrilling event that combines athleticism, creativity, and a whole lot of fun.
It involves racing a decorated metal framed bed around a 2.4-mile course through the streets of Knaresborough, up hills, and even across the river Nidd.

The race has been held every year since 1966, except for two years during the pandemic, and this year’s race takes place on Saturday (14 June).
The charity’s staff are taking part to raise money for an outdoor wellness space at its site in Harrogate.
North Yorkshire Police Federation members can support the Dazzling Bobbies via their JustGiving page.
Branch chair Rob Bowles said: “The PTC does invaluable work in providing essential care and support to police officers when they need it most.
“The staff aren’t just taking on the challenge for the thrill of it, but to raise funds to continue the outstanding work the PTC does.”
The PTC is a registered charity which provides treatment and support for injured and ill serving and retired officers. The treatment includes intensive police-specific physiotherapy and rehabilitation, as well as counselling and complementary therapy treatments.
Each year it treats more than 4,000 members of the police family at its centres in Harrogate and Perthshire in Scotland.
It costs around £6.5 million annually to operate the centres. The charity receives no Government money, with around 90 per cent of its funding coming from voluntary monthly donations made by police officers, staff, and retired officers.
