Student officers can find out more about the work of the Police Treatment Centres (PTC) by signing up to one of a series of webinars being held over the next year.
The webinars, the first of which will be held next week, will aim to answer common questions, such as: Do I need to be on sick to attend? Can I come for a pre-existing conditions? How do I apply for treatment?
Student officers who subscribe to the PTC within three months of joining the Force do not have to pay their subscriptions until 12 months from the date of joining, although they will be entitled to apply for treatment during this time.
During 2025, the webinars will be held as follows:
Thursday 13 February – 1pm.
Wednesday 23 April – 6pm.
Monday 16 June – 1pm.
Tuesday 19 August – 6pm.
Thursday 23 October – 1pm.
Wednesday 10 December – 6pm.
Sign up for the webinars via QR code or by email.
The PTC charity provides two treatment centres where serving and retired police officers can receive treatment following an illness or injury to help them return to better health.
The centres are in Harrogate, North Yorkshire and Auchterarder, Perthshire. They also offer a remote physiotherapy service.
Almost 4,000 serving and retired officers attend the treatment centres each year and most receive intensive physiotherapy. Others seek support with stress-related conditions or anxiety and depression as part of the psychological wellbeing programme.
