Remembering PC Keith Summerbell

North Yorkshire PC Keith Summerbell died on this day in 1982.

Keith, who was 26, died after a collision with lorry while on a motorcycle training course.

“Today we remember Keith and his service not just to the Force but also the public we serve. Keith was really just setting out on his career when he died in this tragic incident,” says Rob Bowles, chair of North Yorkshire Police Federation.

“As a Force, we never forget our fallen colleagues and our thoughts remain with Keith’s family, friends and former colleagues.”
