Group Insurance - Changes to Personal Accident Cover 2020

All our Group Insurance members should now be in receipt of the information regarding their cover from April 2020.  Whilst we took the decision to remove the Family PA element as it was largely unused, we wanted to highlight the following additions to the Personal Accident information for our Police Officer and Staff cover which now contains the following:

On-duty assault benefit (applies to firearm, stabbing or burns)
PTC benefit - if you are attending the PTC's you are eligible to £70 per stay
Unsociable hours x 24 weeks (excluding first 14 days to a max of £60 per week) at £1 per hour
Court Award Compensation - up to £500.
On Duty acquired HIV
Dental Injury and Emergency 
Hospitalisation benefit

Hospitalisation benefit and unsociable hours benefit apply if you are hospitalised or unable to work through either accident OR sickness.
