Federation remembers PC

North Yorkshire PC Robert Ingram died on this day 31 years ago.

Robert was 28 when his patrol car crashed as he attended an emergency call on 27 August 1993.

North Yorkshire Police Federation chair Rob Bowles said: “Today we remember Robert and the service he gave to the communities in our county.

“Our thoughts remain with his family, his friends and his former colleagues as they continue to feel his loss.

“This anniversary serves as a reminder of the very real dangers police officers face as they go about their duties, serving and protecting the public and responding to calls for assistance.”
