Branch secretary Helen Schofield says it will be a proud moment when she lays a wreath on behalf of North Yorkshire Police Federation at the Force’s remembrance service.
Helen will join representatives of North Yorkshire Police at the service to mark Armistice Day at Force headquarters in Northallerton.
She said: “It will be a proud moment for me to represent North Yorkshire Police Federation in laying a wreath on behalf of our members.
“Some of our officers will have family histories of relatives killed during the two world wars or in other conflicts, which will make it all the more poignant.
“We will remember them.”
Chair Rob Bowles will be part of the congregation taking part in the public service of remembrance at the war memorial in Knaresborough, near the branch office.
Rob said: “It’s important that we come together to remember those who fought for the freedoms we enjoy today.
“Their bravery, dedication, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.”
