North Wales Police Federation

Summer edition of Your Voice magazine now available

8 July 2026

The latest edition of Your Voice, the North Wales Police Federation magazine, is packed with news and views from members and the branch and is available to download.

This summer's edition features members’ stories alongside updates on local and national policing issues.

Branch chair Trystan Bevan addresses some of those issues in his regular column, including recent changes to police pension commutation factors and the Federation's work to support affected officers.

He also welcomes a new cohort of Federation representatives and highlights the importance of ensuring members receive support from the earliest stages of post-incident procedures.

Read the remarkable story of PC Andy Collis, who has been nominated for a national Police Bravery Award for tackling a knife-wielding offender and protecting the public.

Andy tells how his body armour saved him from potentially life-threatening injury, while the Federation pays tribute to his courage and professionalism.

The magazine also celebrates the achievements of PC Heidi Goldsack, who has been awarded the King's Police Medal for her outstanding contribution to policing and the football community.

It also highlights the pioneering work of North Wales Police's Rural Crime Team, whose expertise has helped shape national legislation to better protect livestock and rural communities.

Members can find out more about the work of the Federation and the people who represent them with a feature introducing new workplace reps, and we meet new health and safety lead Kris Hunt.

The magazine also looks at the Federation's new in-house training programme, which aims to better prepare reps to support colleagues across a wide range of issues.

Elsewhere in a packed edition, there are also articles on Specials for Volunteers’ Week, the success of the Force Open Day, and on neighbourhood policing.
