Kent Fed News: Polfed app made available on Kent force devices.

The force have agreed to make available the Police Federation app on the force mobiles. Follow the instructions below to get it up and running.

Why? I hear you ask.

The app contains some basic advice guidance on a number of key areas including regs, fitness testing and FAQ's on pensions for example.

Importantly - It also allows for near miss reporting and makes it much easier to do. Near miss reporting is very minimal in Kent and its important this changes as the data that near miss reporting provides could affect working practices, kit and equipment and risk assessments and improve the working environment for officers. The forms are sent directly to the force Health and Safety lead and the Kent Fed health and safety lead (me!) and don't go anywhere else.

Instructions to download the Polfed app:

• On your device, go in to KNOX settings (Note 4) or Workspace settings (other devices)
• Click ‘MDM Agent’ and go in to Assigned Work Apps
• Scroll through the apps until you see the PFEW app
• Click on the logo (dark blue background with white letters) and download.
