Today marks the 35th anniversary of the loss of Hertfordshire PC Ronald Hull.
He was helping an Army ambulance crew at the scene of a serious collision in thick fog in Royston when he was hit by another car on 21 November 1989.
Hertfordshire Police Federation chair Luke Mitchell said: “Today is a poignant day for PC Hull’s family, friends and former colleagues. As a Federation, we feel it is important to continue to honour the memories of our fallen colleagues, those officers who gave their lives while serving the Force and our communities.”
PC Hull had four children and his daughter, Katie, followed him into the Force, holding the same collar number as her dad.
