Fallen officer remembered

Hertfordshire Police Federation was today remembering PC Jacqueline Brown on the anniversary of her death.

PC Brown, who was 23, died when she lost control of her patrol car on a bend in wet weather.

She was driving a prison and escort at Harpenden when the accident occurred on 6 June 1989.

Luke Mitchell, chair of Hertfordshire Police Federation, said: “Today we remember PC Brown on the anniversary of her tragic death in the line of duty.

“Our thoughts today are with her family, her friends and her former colleagues.”
