Pensions update: Federation issues new FAQs

The Police Federation of England and Wales has published an update including a new set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) in relation to police pensions.

It comes as a remedy is sought after it was ruled that transitional protections within the pension schemes were discriminatory.

The update and FAQs are relevant to all members.

Topics covered include what is meant by a remedy, who is affected, whether people will automatically be moved back into their previous pension scheme, what will happen to contributions and whether there will be tax implications once the remedy is applied.
