Stu Berry is the new Chairman of Greater Manchester Police Federation

Congratulations to Stu Berry who has been elected the new Chairman of Greater Manchester Police Federation.

Stu, an officer for 15 years, said: "I am delighted to have been elected the new Chairman of Greater Manchester Police Federation.

"We have the best officers in the country and I am so proud to now be their voice publicly, representing them with the media and chief officers over the coming years.

"It's a challenging time for policing and I am under no illusions about the nature of the task ahead.

"I am looking forward to continuing to speak to and visit my colleagues on a regular basis, keeping in touch with the officers who have elected me and listening to their concerns."

Stu added: "Thanks to all the officers who voted and the other three candidates who put themselves forward and for the professional campaigns and electoral process."
