Coming in October... the Return of the Avon and Somerset Police Federation Recognition Awards... it's time for you to nominate incredible officers...

We are delighted to say that this Autumn the Avon and Somerset Police Federation Recognition Awards will be back... providing us an excellent opportunity to once again celebrate the outstanding work of colleagues.

Categories this year are Bravery, Unsung Hero, Inspiration, Detective, Compassionate Officer, Team of the Year, Supervisor of the Year and finally Federation Representative of the Year.

If you have an officer or officers in mind for these awards, please take the time to fill in this for with their details and why they are deserving of an Award.

Colleagues have until Sunday 25 May to nominate their colleagues!

Tom Gent, Secretary of Avon and Somerset Police Federation, said: "We are delighted to once again be running our Recognition Awards. It's sure to be another incredible evening full of emotion, laughter and pride - as our first event was last year.

“Our colleagues are out there every day carrying out an incredibly difficult job with sadly little recognition.

"They run towards danger and are increasingly under attack, often going above and beyond to prevent and detect crime, keep people safe and protect our communities.

"We are incredibly proud of them as a Federation, and it's our honour to be able to celebrate them this Autumn.

"I would encourage all colleagues to get thinking and nominate those fellow officers who go over and above."
