Avon & Somerset Police Federation

Outstanding colleagues recognised at Force Awards

13 March 2025

Avon and Somerset Police Federation congratulates all the winners – including the Federation’s own office manager – at the force’s Outstanding Policing Awards 2025.

The ceremony on 11 March celebrated the dedication and exceptional contributions of police officers, Special Constables, police staff and volunteers.

One of the winners was Jane Malton-Adams, the Federation’s office manager, who received the ‘Caring’ award for her work running the Benevolent Fund and supporting officers across the force.

Tom Gent, Secretary of Avon and Somerset Police Federation, said: "Huge congratulations to all of the winners. We are very proud of all the work colleagues carry out across Avon and Somerset every day.

"And a special recognition to Jane for her recognition - we are incredibly proud of her work and she is so well deserving of her award."

Other officers and staff received awards for work including improving victim support, fostering cross-cultural connections in the community, and spearheading new initiatives.

DC Stuart Brooks took home the Police Officer of the Year Award for his tireless work over four years securing justice for a survivor of rape. His determination and compassionate support meant the survivor felt empowered throughout the process, ultimately leading to a conviction for her attacker.
