How The Federation Supports You

Avon and Somerset Police Federation Reps work hard every day to support our members through what can be some of the most difficult times of their career.

This could be about knowing your rights and entitlements, as well as getting you the right support if you become a victim of any workplace issues.

The Federation also ensures you are properly represented if you face an issue. Only this week, we were instrumental in supporting an officer who was cleared of gross misconduct.

The Legally Qualified Chair pointed out that in this case, the issue was with training and management rather than misconduct.

Iain Prideaux, Acting Chair of Avon and Somerset Police Federation, praised Secretary Tony Henley for his hard work and compassion in supporting the officer involved.

Iain said: “Police officers are rightly held to a high standard of professional behaviour, and the Federation will work tirelessly to ensure our members have excellent representation.”
