Bravery, Great Work and Dedication of Colleagues Celebrated

Vice Chair Iain Prideaux said: "On Wednesday, I spent an inspiring afternoon at HQ celebrating the outstanding bravery and dedication of officers, staff and the public who faced into adversary with unwavering courage. 

"A range of Chief Constable’s commendations, Royal Humane Society awards, Waley Cohen awards and an Angela Yeoman award were enthusiastically presented to a wide range of our police family and the public. 

"Bravery in the face of physical and verbal attack, on and off duty life saving techniques and the relentless focus on detail in complex investigations was just a highlight of the professionalism shown by everyone. 

"A day to say thank you to the family and friends who support them and a day to say thank you to the award winners who ensured the thin blue line grew a little stronger and our communities grew a little prouder of our service.
