Further information about becoming a member, including your rights as a Special Constable, can be found at: Special Constables at PFEW
All of this cover and support is currently just £24.31 per month, or 50% of that rate for Special Constables in their first year of service. If you claim tax relief, Federation membership is classed as ‘membership of a professional body’, it takes it to under £20 per month; for the security and peace of mind that you are appropriately covered and protected while on duty.
Please contact your co-ordinator as you may be able to claim the membership fee back as a legitimate expense; updates with any further information regarding payments will follow as they become known.
So, what do you need to do next?
Please complete the application sign up form and return to us via email: info.avonsom@polfed.org (electronic and wet signatures will be accepted).
On receipt, we will acknowledge your application.
Further communication will be sent to you regarding setting up a direct debit mandate so the subscription can be deducted each month, giving you reassurance that you are always covered.
We look forward to welcoming you as a member of the Police Federation of England and Wales.
