As part of the change to bring professional and independent support to the senior decision making within the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW), Mukund Krishna has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PFEW, with immediate effect.
Mukund will have overall responsibility for the day to day running of the organisation and will be accountable to the National Board.
The remit of the CEO includes delivery of PFEW 2025, the organisational strategy, in addition to oversight of all functions at headquarters and corporate governance of the organisation.
This includes the development, introduction and review of systems, policies, and procedures to ensure the PFEW runs efficiently and effectively, with robust decision making.
Calum Macleod, PFEW National Secretary, said: “I am pleased that Mukund has accepted this new role for the organisation. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from his time as Chief Operating Officer at PFEW and I look forward to working alongside him.”
Mukund Krishna, CEO, said: “It has been a difficult time for PFEW recently and my priority will be to work closely with the National Board, National Council and our staff to ensure that we have clear direction and robust decision making in the best interest of our members.”
