LEADERS from across the county have been chosen to be part of a £21m Governmental scheme to boost public services.
Kier Pritchard, chief constable of Wiltshire Police and Peter Wanless, CEO of the NSPCC have both been picked to take part in the National Leadership Centre training course.
Mr Wanless has been announced as a board member and will oversee what 100 public sector leaders learn during the course.
Cheif constable Pritchard is among one of 100 people chosen to take part.
He said: "Being part of the first group of public sector leaders to take part in the programme is hugely exciting.
"Having the chance to learn from world leaders and meet those in similar roles across the system will no doubt help in developing the leadership skills I use every day. The programme aims to improve the way public sector leaders operate together which of course will improve the service we provide to the public. It is a privilege to take up this opportunity.”
