Maggie Blyth was appointed in to one of two existing ACC posts in May and today starts her role as ACC for Local Policing and Operations.

Maggie joins Wiltshire Police from Hampshire Constabulary where she was a District Commander for Portsmouth.

Before joining Hampshire as a Superintendent in November 2016, Maggie worked as a public sector senior leader, holding roles nationally and locally with responsibility for children’s services.

She also has a background in safeguarding and public protection working initially in the probation service and then child protection.

She said: “I am excited to be joining Wiltshire Police as Assistant Chief Constable. It is a huge privilege to join such a strong organisation with its evident commitment to protecting our very different communities across the Force, working alongside our partners and community leaders.”

The new Director of People and Change also started in post on Monday .

Chris McMullin joins the executive team and will oversee the delivery of the Office for the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) and Force shared services for the Organisational Development department and People Services.

Chris said: “I am absolutely delighted and feel humbled to be given this opportunity. Having been with this force for 10 years, I am incredibly proud of what has and continues to be achieved.

"I am really looking forward to building on that success and working with my colleagues to enable the organisation to deliver outstanding services.”

Last month, Mark Cooper joined the force from Dorset Police as Assistant Chief Constable for Crime, Justice and Vulnerability.

The three new post-holders will join the existing members of the Wiltshire Police executive leadership team, led by Chief Constable Kier Pritchard.
