Every year Flint House successfully treat over 3,000 police officers.
We realise the job of a police officer can be physically and mentally demanding. Flint House can help. Their team of highly skilled Physiotherapists, Mental Health Practitioners and Registered Nurses, make it their mission to enable serving officers to get back to full duties.
Access to Flint House is included in your Welfare membership. To join the Welfare fund please email welfarefundadministration@westmercia.police.uk
To apply to attend Flint house please visit their website Get support today - Flint House Police Rehabilitation.
Anyone wishing to apply for either Physical Rehabilitation or Mental Health Support must now sign up and complete the E Application online, via the Flint House website.
As it is all digital now, the section where the Dr countersigns and refers for treatment has also changed. What is required is a “Global Patient Summary“ from the GP Practice and you upload this with the application form. There is no charge for this Global Patient Summary but I have been informed that it can take up to 28 days to obtain.
Your stay at Flint house is classed as recuperative leave. You do not need to use annual leave or sick leave. You cannot claim any rest days back that fall during your stay. Please discuss the dates with your Line manager.
If a member of the Welfare fund, you can claim 1x return journey from your home address to Flint House, for each week you are there. This can be either travelling by car or train. You can also claim back your GP fee for signing your admission forms (if applicable) as mentioned above.
