Tributes paid to former Fed chair Inspector Ken Mackaill

Tributes have been paid to retired Inspector Ken Mackaill after he died on Tuesday (11 August).

Ken retired from the force in December 2015 and was well known and respected across West Mercia Police, including through his previous role as branch chair.

Chair of West Mercia Police Federation Gareth Spreadbury said: "Our thoughts are with Ken’s wife, Jenny, who is also a retired West Mercia staff member, and with their family, friends and all those who knew and worked with Ken.

“We appreciate that many colleagues may already have heard this sad news, but we wanted to share it more widely across the force given Ken’s many years of service and the connections he made throughout West Mercia.

“Our deepest condolences to all who knew Ken.”
