Remembering Sergeant Ian Jones

West Mercia Police Federation has today paid tribute to Sergeant Ian Jones on the anniversary of his death.

Ian, who was a member of the Force dog unit, collapsed and died from heart failure while on duty at West Mercia Headquarters in Worcester on 2 March 2011. He was aged 53.

Branch secretary Lesley Williams said: “Ian is remembered fondly by all who knew him and today we will pause and remember the service he gave to the Force and our communities.

“The thoughts of everyone at West Mercia Police Federation are with Ian’s family, friends, and colleagues on this sad anniversary.”
