Remembering PC John Bonelle

West Mercia PC John Bonelle tragically died on this day 34 years ago.

John, 34, was involved in a road accident while on an advanced motorcycle training course in Merthyr Tydfil in South Wales on 6 May 1991.

Speaking on behalf of West Mercia Police Federation, Steve Butler said: “Today we remember John and his service to the Force and the communities we serve.

“It is always devastating when we lose one of our own and, even with the passage of time, we feel it is important to honour his memory, but also to keep his family, friends and former colleagues in our thoughts today as they mark this sad anniversary.”
