Remembering Force PC

West Mercia Police Federation today remembers an officer from the Force who died while on patrol in a traffic car.

PC Paul Symonds, who was 32, was killed when the vehicle in which he was an observer crashed on 17 April 1991.

“Our thoughts are with Paul’s family, friends and former colleagues today as we remember his life and service to the Force,” says Steve Butler on behalf of West Mercia Police Federation.

“All too often officers pay the ultimate price when they go about their duties serving the public so it is important that we continue to remember our fallen colleagues.”
