Remembering Ashley Burchall

West Mercia PC Ashley Burchell died on this day 40 years ago.

Ashley, who was 38, was training his police dog when he suffered a medical episode and died on 11 May 1985.

“Today we remember Ashley, his tragic death and the family, friends and colleagues he left behind. We also remember the service he gave to the Force and the communities of West Mercia,” says Steve Butler on behalf of West Mercia Police Federation.
