Remembering PC Andy Boardman

Today marks the first anniversary of the death of West Mercia PC Andrew (Andy) Boardman.

Andrew (43) was taken ill and collapsed while on duty at an incident in Broseley, Shropshire on 11 April 2023. He died at the scene despite the efforts of paramedics already in attendance.

Steve Butler, chair of West Mercia Police Federation, said: “Andy’s death was felt across the Force and came as such a shock to us all.

“Today we remember Andy, his service to the Force and his commitment to his duties but we also remember his family, his friends and his colleagues who continue to feel his loss and we keep them all in our thoughts.”
