PC is remembered

Today marks the anniversary of the death of West Mercia PC Ashley Burchell.

Ashley, 38, collapsed and died on 11 May 1985 while training his police dog.

“Our thoughts today are with Ashley’s family, friends and former colleagues,” says Steve Butler, chair of West Mercia Police Federation.

“It is incredibly important for us as a Federation to remember our fallen colleagues and the service they gave to the Force and the communities we serve.”
