12 November 2024
Social pressures, career expectations and personal wellbeing are just some of the challenges modern-day men are facing.
These will all be discussed during this week’s Men’s Health webinar, which is taking place on Friday (15 November) and is called: ‘What’s it like to be a man in 2024’.
Organised by the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW), the webinar will be hosted by men’s health lead Zac Mader.
Joining Zac will be Mark Brooks OBE, senior communications and policy advisor for men’s health, with the pair discussing the ongoing challenges and issues men face in the 21st century, specifically those in policing.
“I’d encourage everyone - both men and women to attend this week’s webinar,” said the chair of the West Mercia Police Federation, Steve Butler.
“The pressures on men in society - including those within policing - are real and, in some cases, can be complex.
“This online session will not only shine a light on some of the challenges men are facing but help to break down stigmas and support one another.”
Plus, Police Care UK will present useful resources for serving and retired police officers.
The online session will kick off at 12.45pm and is expected to finish at 2pm.
