West Mercia Police Federation has remembered a police officer killed in a road traffic accident while taking part in an advanced motorcycle training course on the anniversary of his death.
PC John Bonelle (34) died in the accident in Merthyr Tydfil on 6 May 1991.
Sarah Cooper, Federation branch chair, said: “Each and every day, officers put themselves at risk every day and all too often pay the ultimate price.
“It’s vitally important for us to keep the memory of our fallen colleagues alive, and John’s dedication and service to policing – and to the public – must never be forgotten.
“The thoughts of everyone at West Mercia Police Federation are with John’s family, friends and colleagues.”
